A bit about you and Opera?
I signed up to OperaWarwick within my first few days at university as it was actually one of the main reasons I chose to come here! I have been involved in all of our productions since then, most recently playing the Countess in The Marriage of Figaro, while also acting as Marketing Manager last year. Now, in my second year on this team, I have taken on the role of Music Director and I am so excited to have the chance to get more people appreciating and participating in opera. One of my main goals is to give everyone an opportunity to develop as a singer and perform by helping them find the support they need.
And which is your favourite?
I love Madame Butterfly as it was the first opera I ever saw and it obviously had a lasting impression on me! I also have a major soft spot for Figaro, because it was the most wonderful show to be a part of and generally just great fun!
Tell us something embarrassing.
Though it pains me to admit it, I seem to have developed a reputation for waving my arms around a bit when I sing… a habit I am working on suppressing…
