Secretary: Michael Green
A bit about you and Opera?
Michael is a 3rd going on 4th year student who, upon completing his BSc in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, is hoping to take up Masters study in Public Policy and carry on his involvement with Opera Warwick for another year! Michael has appeared on stage in each of the society’s last 4 productions of Carmen, The Merry Widow, The Marriage of Figaro, and The Threepenny Opera. Having thoroughly enjoyed his involvement so far, Michael is relishing taking on the role of Secretary for the society and will happily answer any questions people might have about the Society’s activities. As Secretary, Michael is responsible for helping ensure the smooth running of the society, sending weekly updates to all its members and assisting in the coordination of the Exec’s activities. Michael has experience over the past 5 years of secretarial and administrative work in Westminster and has regularly returned in the employment of an MP, in addition to experience of Chairing and sitting on a number of course and departmental committees during his time at Warwick.
And which is your favourite?
I seem to throw myself into all of my operatic projects, and enjoy them all significantly! The Merry Widow has probably been my favourite …the Marriage of Figaro the least.
Tell us something embarrassing.
Sometimes people stop me to comment on how good my hair looks.
